All of the lineart pictures here are new! I've redone this page, since I felt the older pictues that were on the old page were out of date, and weren't good enough.
I also had to replace them since the photoshop files (which were quite large) were eating up too much bandwidth. Okay - so what is this? Simply put, these files are here for you to practice with. These are all drawings I drew, and then made the lineart for with Adobe Illustrator 8. I have the pictures available in two file formats. High res .jpg files and .ai files. The .ai files are .AI Files (vector graphics) but can be opened with Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro (I think... can someone confirm this?) I don't know if Painter opens .ai files.
.ai files
When you choose to open them with photoshop, a window will appear that looks like this: I suggest you set the Resolution to 250 or 300 and work from that. If you have a slower computer, you'll probably want to set the Resolution to 150 or 200. I have found that photoshop has a tendency to rastorize the lines in a dark grey instead of black. To fix this, go to Image > Adjust > Levels and pull the small triangle on the far left in towards the center. This will make the grey black.
.jpg files
To use the .jpg files as lineart, open it in photoshop, duplicate the background layer, clear the background layer, and set the new lineart layer's Layer Mode to Multiply.
