I think it's easiest to think of the hips as stretched ovals. Really thick ones. The knee comes out more from the front of the lower leg, but then the hip comes out a little more after that (not too much, and it should be slightly gradual.) Also, like I mentioned before, the back of the calf goes back when in profile view. Remember to begin the top of the calf about mid knee, or else it will look like the leg has been pinched at the base of the knee. |

Not much left to say. On leg a. - note how it curves outward just after the knee, on the lower leg. This is because of the calf muscles. But the leg is more flat along the front, so the side (the right side from out view) of the leg is a little flatter since it's showing more of the front then the side or back. The other side of the leg is more curved outward. At point b. - note how where the leg meets the ankle is a gradual curve. This is partially because of the shoes, but also, the foot doesn't connect to the leg at a 90 degree angle. Look at your own foot. Hope this helped!
