What's an "Impromanga"?

Simply put an Impromanga is an impovisonal manga. A setting and charachters are decided on by the participants and then each person is given two weeks to draw as many pages of manga as they can. Then another person is then given the same amount of time to draw and so on....

Do I have to work in anime/manga style?

Not at all. All styles of art are accepted. As long as you can make your deadline and make the effort to tell a good story you're welcome to participate.

Rules:

  • Parodies are okay, but make sure that what you write and draw is original.

  • You don't have to use all of the characters during your segment, but you must use most of them, and they must play the main roles.

  • Obviously, 2 weeks can be a tight sqeeze for some people, but try to get at least 2 pages done - of course if your tight on time, you don't have to color your pages either.

  • No blatient hentai. Try to keep it comical and fun.

  • When it's your turn, you can take the story wherever you want, but make sure that you start where the last person left off. Some kind of transition would be best.

  • If you want you can have your own personal original characters make little cameo's in your chapter/section of the story, but they can't be major, plot affecting characters.

  • Just remember to have fun with it. Don't worry if you don't draw the characters exactly like their designs - if you find that it's difficult to tell who a character is when you've drawn them, just stick name tags on them, or draw arrows with their names pointing at them. Make fun of it - just have fun and don't stress out too much.

    How to Join the Impromanga:

    Pages are goin to be assigned on a bi-weekly basis instead of all at once. This prevents any problems that might occure if one of the artists simply dissapers. This also means that everyone has an equal chance of participating each time.

    Currently I am accepting no more members as there are too many. However if there is enough interest a second Impromanga will be considered
